Map The Islands
How to Play
You are positioned at the center of the map. Your objective is to reconstruct the world by listening to the reports of visiting sailors and recording their findings on your parchment. Use their testimonies to identify landmarks and hazards, then guide them to their requested destinations.

Fill a blank map using the accounts of strangers.
As a cartographer, your task is to shape your blank parchment based on the reports provided by sailors. Each day, three sailors visit your shop and share their previous routes to provide clues about the world's layout (e.g., "I went west and saw this; then I turned east and saw that").
Core Mechanics:
- Mapping: Record geographic locations and hazards using the sailors' verbal reports.
- Navigation: Issue two directional commands to each sailor to guide them to their desired destination.
- Risk and Reward: Successfully directing sailors to their targets yields higher scores; however, sending them into unknown regions may result in their death.
- Loop: Surviving sailors return the following day to report what they encountered and request a new destination.
The routes you provide result in either a new discovery or the loss of an information source.

Man, that was such a cool mechanic. Brilliantly simple idea, well executed. It took me a while to figure out how to manipulate the compass (anyone else wondering, you need to click the triangles around the compass), and how to let people actually END on their wished tile. But then it was really fun.
I did however send 0 sailors to their deaths, and 0 were saved. Is that a bug?
Anyway, really well done guys!
Thank you so much for playing! We really appreciate the feedback. We made this game in a game jam so some features are missing but we are currently working to fix them. We fixed the 0 death, 0 lives saved bug today, and we plan to add a tutorial soon. We updated windows version, we will update the web version when the tutorial is ready.
